I'm here!!!  It's Saturday, the 10th and I'm finally home.  My birthday was very long - let me tell you about it.

Mom and dad checked into the hospital at 8:30PM on the 7th.  Mom was given a cervical gel to open the cervix - she started having contractions almost immediately.  Neither of us slept very well because we were both feeling those darn things all night.  At 8:30AM, mom was dilated 2 centimeters and the doc said she could get an epidural - yippeee!!  At 9:15, she got the epidural.  Around 9:30, she had four contractions in a row and I DID NOT LIKE THAT!  Mom and dad were oblivious until five nurses and a doctor came rushing in because my heart rate dropped dramatically.  They were just about to stick mom with a needle to stop contractions, but decided against it because my heart rate started going back up.  Sorry for the scare, rents. 

Anyway, the next two hours I was not happy - I just wanted to come out.  My heart rate kept dropping and nurses and doctors kept rushing in to check on us.  The doctor said more than once, we'll most likely have to do a c-section.  At 11:45, mom was dilated 4 centimeters.  At 12:15, Dr. Hoffman came in and said "if you are not at 5 cm, then we're doing a c-section for the safety of the baby.  (Mom and Dad had already filled out all paperwork and the room was ready for us).  Well, lo and behold, she checked and mom was dilated 10 cm, I  had dropped fully and it was time for me to come out. 

After a couple minutes of prepping for the big push, I was ready to come out.  Mom had two contractions and pushed, the doc attached a vacuum to my head and I was already out.  The umbilical cord was around my head so dad wasn't able to cut it - sorry pop.   Everything after that was smooth sailing - I got weighed, cleaned up, swaddled, and handed to mommy and daddy.   All my tests came back with an A+.  I don't want to brag but everyone said I was a perfect baby.  Here are some pictures.
